NYC Wedding Photographer Under $1250

Hi folks - wondering if anyone out there has worked with someone or gotten an estimate from a talented someone in this price range? I'm really just looking for someone to shoot the ceremony and the portraits post-ceremony - appx. 2 hours. Lemme know. Thanks, ladies!

Jena did an amazing job at our wedding. We couldn't have asked for more with the portraits and ceremony pictures: she was quick and pleasant taking the many portraits, they all turned out well composed with all family members smiling and no "blinkies". And our ceremony was in a very darkly lit chapel, but she had no problem with it. We have beautiful multiples of all the big moments.

Are you having a reception too? I'll make one more suggestion, just in case you're holding off on reception photography simply because of budget, I would urge you to seriously consider having a pro photographer for that too if you can. Give Jena a call, I'd be very surprised if she can't put together a package for you for all three (ceremony, portraits, reception) within your $1250 budget.

Ceremony and portrait shots are invaluable, no question. But reception shots will be the ones that remind you of how incredible and unique your wedding was and your loved ones are. I was surprised how our reception photos are by far the most treasured we have. I'd hate for you to miss capturing those moments!

You might try some of the photographers who do head shot work for performing artists--a lot of them are really affordable.

I know that Barry Burns who is a real go to for this kind of thing also does family portraits and weddings.
