Getting Rid of a Bridesmaid

Sorry Ladies, I never meant for it to go so long, I was a bit emotional at the time...  And I know the response my friend got was NOT on this board.

Also, I DO NOT condone kicking out a bridesmaid... I just know that on occasion it DOES happen, because it happened to me w/ someone I'm still friends with.  And my "ex-friend" had multiple reasons of her own for kicking out her bridesmaids (not just me).  And I know, this is not a normal situation!

My "Advice" is basically that if your going to kick out a bridesmaid, for any reason, you need to TELL her if it happens because it's RUDE to let them assume.  At the very least, they have made a committment to buy a dress and be there that day for YOU and they deserve to know they no longer have the "priveledge" (however you see it) to do that anymore.

Ouch...Lots of harsh words on this post.  Frankly, I was looking at the topic to get a better idea of my options for whatever reason.  I think more people than we'd like to admit get into a sticky situation with bridesmaids and want to find a gentle way to extract.  I would not want to ruin my joy in the day by having to play nice with one of my bridesmaids that I didn't want in the role anymore anyway.  Just my thought.

I wanted to desperately kick out my sister from my BP and she was my MOH... but then I realized that it would have been rude and I'd have to live with that shit forever.

My sister didn't do anything for my wedding except buy a dress, pair of shoes  and give a horrible speech. I honestly didn't expect much from her, I would have liked the approved speech to have been presented instead of the drunken one made.
