What's your budget?  What type of place/style are you looking for?

Giando's had decent pricing.  Not sure what your budget is, but my reception is at Stage 6 at Steiner Studios, more than Giando's, but it's an Abigal Kirsch venue.

If you are looking for a restaurant, have you checked out Bubby's in Dumbo?  I didn't go with it because it couldn't really accomodate my 200 guests, but the pricing looked good.  I visited Giando on the water as well, it's nice. I think its about 115 a person, since you said you are on a budget, I thought I just put that out there so you know if that's suitable for you.  I ended up going to Queens, I have the penthouse at Terrace on the Park, I liked it better than Giandos

I am hoping to get the venue for 3- 4,000. We would love a resturant with great food, big enough to fit 110 guest with a small dance floor

You could try Rebar (you'd have to rent the entire restaurant) or Water Street Restaurant - their Under Water Lounge.  We're going with Water Street and although our guest count is smaller than yours, I think it would probably fit 110 nicely and you'd still have a dance floor.

I had a tasting at Rebar and almost decided on it for mine.  The food was delicious and Jason, the owner, is fantastic.  I decided on Galapagos instead because it's so dramatic, but it was a really hard decision and as I hunt for food as yummy as Rebar somtimes, just for a moment, I regret my decision.

We are going with ReBar, with 125 people.  I agree-- Jason is amazing, the place is amazing, the food is amazing!  If you are AT ALL considering it, go and get wined and dined-- you'll be blown away, and have a fantastic evening, to boot!
We are signing our contract this week!

Downside-- it has an amazing roof, but it's not "official," so it's not really an "outdoor" kind of place.  However, we're having our ceremony in Brooklyn Bridge Park, so that will do for our outdoor quite nicely!  And if it rains, we can do the ceremony at ReBar.  Phew!  A weight off our shoulders!

If it's not too late, check out My Moon - an beautiful restaurant with an outdoor patio in Williamsburg.  We had 200 people there, but it would be better with less, so you could keep it more intimate.

Gorgeous space, amazing food, two kinds of atmosphere and Kenan the manager is our best friend, helped with everything from menu planning to couples counseling & mom-manegment.  Ended up being a great deal, since space, food, rentals, service etc. were all treated together like a catering hall but with all the uniqueness of a boutique wedding.
