Morning!  I am overjoyed because one of my besties had a beautiful baby girl this morning!  Poor thing started contractions tuesday night and didn't have her until 5am this morning.  But she is overjoyed!

Morning everyone!

I just got back from a business trip -- gone since Sunday. I don't travel for work often, and man is it exhausting. I wish I could just lay my head down on my desk.

Good morning! I woke up an hour earlier than I planned, so I'm taking my cue that I should use that time to pack some small boxes.

I hid someone's post on FB the other day when he said, "A meal a Chick-fil-A with my traditional family." or someshit like that.

You don't have to agree with gay marriage or homosexuality at all, but you can't deny that gay couples that have children REALLY love those children, because it wasn't easy for them to become a parent in the first place. It's not like the people that have kids on 'accident' and can't embrace the kids.

Morning. I was supposed to work until 6 today, but the mom's flight got delayed and the dad has baseball, so it looks like I'll be here until at least 8 again, maybe even longer if he has to pick her up at the airport. I'm not thrilled.

Good luck Bay! H is starting school in 21 days so I'm prepping myself for life with a student.

Strlz congrats on becoming an aunt again! My sister is due in October. It's the first baby in our family and I am SO EXCITED.

Eagles, I am now realizing how awesome my family was for being chill the week of my wedding. At least I think they were. If not, I've blocked it all out now. So there's hope! Just keep rolling your eyes.

Goetta looks weird. But I shouldn't talk because I am going to eat a hot mess of random foods at our State Fair on Saturday. OMG I can't wait. Flavored milk, maple cotton candy, honey ice cream, buffalo fry bread, fried stuff on a stick. YES!

Today is opening day of the fair and usually my work brings in cream puffs for everyone. I can't wait to stuff my face into one. BRING ON THE PUFFS.

I mean, I shouldn't have been surprised because he and his wife are both really into their faith, (which I am too, btw but it doesn't make me an a-hole) and after my friend's bachelorette party, he called her FI and said, "I'm concerned about your views of sex being too worldly. My wife said that it was talked about a lot at your FI's bachelorette party."

It was a lingerie party. Of course sex was mentioned.

I don't understand why we can't separate chicken from religion.  I mean, seriously?  Why can't an owner have a person view?  You either like the chicken or you don't like the chicken.  Who cares what the owner thinks?  Maybe I'm Naive... but I don't get why this has to be like the biggest media blowout in all of history because an owner doesn't support a view that goes against his own.  People have their own beliefs.  So what? 

Do people not eat other cultural food because of the religion that the owner participates in?  How is this different?

ETA:  I also don't think the owner needed to go all viral with his thoughts either.  He can keep it to himself.  Because, that's what started this whole thing, right?  Now it's all blown out of proportion.

Jess, that is awful! I would be horrified if I were that lady. But then again, I'd feel a little bit bad for this 'traditional couple'. If he was concerned about the worldly sex, can you imagine how boring their sex life must be?

They didn't have me come Sunday like I was originally going to. It also originally sounded like Tuesday and today were going to be cut short but that didn't end up being the case. I just wanted to get home at a decent hour because I need to address the rest of my STDs so I can send them out tomorrow. Oh well, it is extra money!

Habs, I don't really give a shiiit what this one guy thinks about gay marriage.  I think he's a small-minded asshole, but he has a right to his own beliefs.  I have more of a problem with CFA donating millions of dollars to organizations that work to keep gay marriage from being legalized.  THAT is why I won't eat their food, not because of one's guys stupid comments.

I did.  Well, part of it.  I only read a few chapters, because most of it is about conceiving and only a few chapters are about preventing conception.  So I only read those chapters.  We've been charting for 6 months now and no baby.  *fingers crossed* but we also use back up when there is a question. 

A - I haven't followed it too closely.  Didn't realize he did that.  I mean, it's his money, he can do what he wants with it, but why does he need to make it so public?  I have a hard time with that because it feels like he's trying to be a martyr.  Like, look at me, I am publically standing up for my faith by donating masses of money, I am awesome, and I am suffering because of it. 

Just do your thing privately.  But then again, I hate everything they splash over the media anyways.

I support gay marriage, but I still eat at CFA.

I don't have a problem with anyone choosing NOT to eat at CFA, but I do have a problem that want to say that I support hate because I want a chicken sandwich.

My food choices do NOT represent my stance on anything beyond I love their sandwiches.

Also, I find that it's impossible to draw the line.

Kellogg's doesn't support gay marriage either, and they're a big sponsor in the Olympics this year...so if I'm trying to make a political statement by everything I do, I guess I shouldn't be watching the Olympics, KWIM?

CFA is a big sponsor of the Astros this year, and I have plenty of gay friends that have gone to the games this season, (which is shocking since the Astros suck) but you get the point.

Do what you want to do, but don't judge me for how I choose to spend the money that I have earned.

Of course, the bulk of my FB friends are from CA, so CFA isn't really on the radar of most.

Adamar, there's a booth with all kinds of foods using buffalo meat instead of beef. One of their options is like a taco, but made with Native American Fry Bread instead of a shell. And ground seasoned buffalo meat. Oh man it is good.

If you've never had fry bread, you should find it or make it. Yum.

IMO, it's because everybody always needs SOMETHING to biiitch about.  If it's not this, it would be another mass FB thing on.  What gets me, is that, it's not like people are going to be doing this everyday at CFA.  You made a "stand" for one fricken day.  Whoopdifuckindo.  If people really believe that strongly about something, they'd get off FB and actually do something about it.
