Re: Oops...posted twice

  • The more time I spend on the Etiquette forum, the more convinced I am that etiquette is completely relative to different cultures, families, geographical locations, and situations. Your goal should be not offending YOUR guests. Your family (and your fi's) are much different from most of those on this forum, so the best advice you'll get is from other trusted members of your families. Take whatever people say here with a grain of salt...everyone has their own opinion of what is "right" or "wrong," and this forum is usually best for highlighting truly glaring questions of proper etiquette.

Relax. First of all, it's your second wedding, so etiquette rule #1: it should be relaxed! You have kids now, and different priorities. Don't worry so much about what everyone else thinks, but definitely worry more about making this wedding about your kids and everyone else you love.
  • thank you. That actually helped to read. I've been driving myself crazy for the past 5 hours reading article after article, and it's not helping anything. I am going to take a few deep breaths, and pass the buck on figuring out the exact responsibilities of the ring bearer. Besides, my kid is pretty darn charming. I'm sure he could get away with a few minor (or major) miss-steps. (lame joke, but I'm attempting to quit the stressing :p)
