Make your own montage?

Anyone who made their own montage, what program/website did you use?  I've been googling montage makers, but their are so many and I'm very confused.  Thanks.

Like a photo montage/slideshow?  I've made one before simply using powerpoint.

Muvee works as well as Windows Live Photo Gallery.

I feel ya OP, these things can be tricky.

Kodak Easyshare has a slideshow feature but doesn't allow for sound. I tried using PP to make a ss for a friend's grad party last week but had trouble on the transfer from one computer to another with the sound. I've never used Windows Movie Maker, but maybe I'll give it a try.

Don't really know if that helps or not lol.

I've made quite a few SS's before using only powerpoint & never had any difficulty.  Quite easy, actually.  I just burned the songs onto a CD for the DJ to use, as the laptop present didn't mesh well with sound, for some reason.

Are you using Windows? Then Microsoft has a free program you can download - Photostory 3

There is also Animoto <---upload pictures, videos, song, input text if you want  and it turns into a video w/ transitions and all. It will look like you really did something spectacular. Here's a short animoto I had; you'll get the basic idea.

Lately, I've used both and then put everything together in Windows Movie Maker.
