Sheesh.  Overreaction.

I'm not surprised though.  I was a BM in a wedding where the bride's grandmother showed up wearing a silvery off-white dress, and the bride spent the ENTIRE morning bitching about it.  It's ridiculous, but unfortunately not unheard of.

Holy crap. The part that surprises me the most about this story is that it was the men freaking out about wearing white.

Yikes.  There's one comment, though, from someone who supposedly attended and said that wearing white had nothing to do with it - the woman's drunken and obnoxious behavior was to blame.

That said, I'm wearing a light green cocktail dress for my wedding, so I'm telling my friends that someone out to be wearing a white gown & veil, so they can have at it.  I don't think anyone's going to take me up on it, though.

Ohwhynot, that makes a lot more sense.  I missed that comment.  It seems incredible that someone would be so offended.

I didn't care that people wore white to my wedding. My dress was light blue anyway. A couple cousins (little girls) wore white sundresses, and they looked adorable.

One of my classmates got married last weekend, so I ran to check the story, but she was married at the Saturn Club and I saw pics, so I know her wedding was classy. ;-)

I also live in Buffalo (Elwmood Area) and am not at all surprised that this jewel of an event happened in Lackawanna.  It can be pretty Klassy down there.
