Grandmother issues!

My fiance's grandfather left his wife (my fiance's grandmother) for her best friend over 20 years ago.  My fiance's grandma is civil around her ex-husband and ex-best friend, who are now married, but she has not found someone else and seeing them together hurts her deeply.  My fiance and I are struggling with how to seat his grandparents at the wedding- he has two single grandmothers, and a grandfather and step-grandmother.  Seating them together would not be a good idea but we don't want anyone to feel hurt by not being included at the table with his parents.  My fiance's family isn't sure how to handle it either.  Would appreciate any advice from all of you lovely ladies!!! :)

    The only thing that I can suggest other than to have her suck it up, is to ask her what she would feel comfortable doing.  Maybe she'd be ok sitting with your aunts/uncles during dinner, providing that she has other sons/daughters.

    I like this idea. Can you split up that family betweena few tables? i.e. Some children and grandchildren with the grandmother and others with the grandfather and his wife.

    I agree with the previous posters. The best advice would be to ask her what will make her the most comfortable.
