Please help me! My fiance and I are planning to have an adult only reception, however, he has informed me that I should not be surprised if some members of his family completely disregard our request. I am already aware that his sister will be brining her three children (8, 6 and 2!) and that his uncle plans to bring his five children (15, 12, 9, 7, 5, 1). I do NOT want children at my wedding. My family will respect my wishes. At the same time, I do not want my family to be offended when they show up to our wedding and see that my fiance's family did not have the same respect. What in the world am I supposed to do? I have visions of kids running on the dance floor, sticking fingers in my cake and dominating the photo booth. WE are paying for this wedding 110%. Please advise.
