Boo: I'm buying a new car and trading in my old one. My car battery died. Yesterday. Just bought a new one this morning for a car that will be traded in sometime this week. Why couldn't it have waited one more week!?!

YAY: Enough people booked rooms in our hotel block that the room for Matt and me will be FREE!! ALL THREE NIGHTS!! WOO HOO!

Re: Boo... YAY!

• Boo: My only months-old alternator died in my truck this weekend. The last one died on Christmas Eve. What is it with my truck breaking down on holidays??

YAY: I'm pretty sure a couple we're good friends with is going to vacation with us next year. Not sure yet if it will be a cruise or resort, but we always have so much fun together, and I'm really excited for this trip!

Boo: I'm extremely tired and I have to go grocery shopping.

Yay: I'm about to go to Moe's.

• Boo: My ipod died this morning. I listen to it every day on my 15 min walk to and from work and had just downloaded a new workout thing to listen to during lunch. I'd also like to boo that I have a headache from decreasing my medicines.

Yay: I get to see some of my favorite knotties on thursday AND I get to move into our NEW HOUSE on Sunday. Woot woot.

Yay: FI offered to pick me up after my appointment so I don't have to take the metro home.

Boo: H and I had about $1,000 of unexpected expenses in the past 2 weeks (my tooth and his car), and now we need to transfer money from savings just to get gas and some extra groceries before we both get paid later this week.

YAY: My aunt is flying in to visit tomorrow!!!!!

ETA: I should also add that my aunt was my MOH, and basically my BFF!

• Boo ---- just got a call from my mom. My Nanny (my dad's father's long-time girlfriend - Grandfather pasted away in 89) is on her death bed. She was born Sept 11, 1906, so that makes her 104.

Nothing really to Yay.

• Adamar - that sucks about the alternator. The alternator went out in my old, old car, and we just junked the car. It would have cost more than the car was worth.

Fezz - welcome to MOE'S!! That sounds tasty!
• DNB - I hate moving money out of savings.

Lynda - I'm so, so sorry! At least you know that she lived a long (and hopefully happy) life.
• Lynda I am so very sorry.

• Lynda - so sorry to hear about your Nanny, that's awful.

Boo - I had to drop out of a wedding today...

Yay - I have a job interview tomorrow - 2nd interview! :)
• MP, it only ended up costing 200-300 I think, because Shea is good with a wrench :) It just irks me that we JUST replaced it, but we couldn't find the receipt and Advanced was the only place to buy the part, so I'm fully expecting it to break again in a couple months.

• So sorry to hear that Lynda. I'll be thinking about you.

• Yay: My classes are over, so I actually get to go home after work and have dinner with my husband!

Boo: That means it's finals time, and I actually have to learn this crap now. And finish writing my paper. Major boo.
• Thanks ladies..

My grandfather lived with her for 30+ years (much to the disappointment of my uncle) . She always made us such beautiful Easter dresses when we were kids.

She had a great life. On her 90th bday she bowled a 300 game.

• I'm so sorry Lynda.
• Oh Fische, stop bragging! Besides, you only bought a new car to be like me. I know it.

(What kind?)

That's exactly what it sounds like in my head! FI's and my birthday's are only 8 days apart so we always use it as an excuse to see dear friends in St. Louis -- and I will be drunk.

Plus we're doing a BBQ on Sunday with folks we often see only once or less per year.

Can't wait!!!11!!eleventy!

• So sorry, Lynda.

Boo: I didn't get a job I applied for, which would have meant a promotion.
Yay: I'm getting a different job, which isn't a promotion but at least means, a change, which I need.

• Yeah, that sounds kind of awesome, Aragx.
• Lynda- That's amazing...The 300 game.
Also, after some digging, I found out that the oldest person on record to bowl a 300 was 87, so you have some fixing to do! How great would it be for her to go in the books

• Lynda, that's sad. I hope I live a good long life like that, though!

I have no boo/yay, I just wanted to say WELCOME TO MOE'S! Hey Fezz, can you pick me up a quesadilla please? Muchos gracias.

Wait, I DO have a boo/yay. BOO: I hate that my doctor's office doesn't call with test results unless something is wrong.

YAY: it's 3:37, less than an hour of work left!

Boo: My mom is still riding my back about not going to the MS walk this weekend with my brother, because I am going to a scrapbooking retreat.

Yay: The scrapbooking retreat is this weekend!! I cannot wait!

ETA: Lynda, I am so sorry.
