Weekend Recap

How was everyones extended weekend? Did you do anything fun? Travel anywhere?

We stayed home, but went shopping, looked at a couple trucks and had date night sunday night and saw "Crazy Stupid Love" (which is really hilarious in my opinion).

I know I posted this on the other board but I went to the State game and it was awesome! Ncsupsych- It was my first college game besides the App State (my alma mater) games I've been to! My FI kept saying that he was going to show me what a real football game looked like :-P I am embarrassed to say that App got their a$$es kicked by VT (66-13). Yay for looking at trucks! Are you and H looking to get a new one I assume?

Hahah yeah. . .wolfpack games are in a league of their own fan base wise. I took DH to his very first football game ever last year (his college didnt have football) and he loved it. He was all bug eyed when he saw all the tailgating. It was like a completely different world for him. Hah

DH is wanting to even trade his jeep for a truck. We love the jeep, but he wants to have more storage, towing and usability. I think we've found one that he wants. It's just getting the price down to the right number now.

We went to the State game on Saturday! We have season tickets this year, so it was even more fun than normal! A bunch of our friends have them now too, so we had our first professional tailgate and all the "wives" had a great time getting everything together.

The rest of the weekend we worked on getting our house all situated and things are starting to come together! So excited about that! We had dinner with my mom's side of the family on Sunday which is always a lot of fun and tons of laughs.

We went to the State game, too, and broke in one of our wedding presents. I'm referring to it as the mixed marriage corn hole game. I went to UNC & my husband went to State, so a friend made us a dual game. One side has the UNC basketball court; the other has the NCSU basketball court. And we have a mixed set of bags. Very cool. Then we broke in our new screened in porch with a cookout last night & got to use the new giant rolling cooler & dinner plates. Yea! One of our friends was kind enough to point out how cool it is that we have 12 matching dinner plates to serve everyone. Since my husband thinks a plate is just a plate--and why wouldn't you just use paper plates, this gave me much more satisfaction than it should have. And the totally cool part about all of this is that most of our home addition project is now done--after 10 months. Really love the guys that have been doing the work--they came to the wedding and all--but it was time. Most of all, I'm really excited to have bathroom drawers for the first time in 2 years.!! The Ikea cabinet is nice, but I'm over it!

We went to the state game too!

No.  We didn't.  It just seemed like the cool thing to say.

I don't even like State Tongue out

We went to my dad's house.  I read a book and we just hung out and played with the puppies.  It was a nice weekend.

We also went to the State game!  DH and I are State grads but I've been in Texas for the past 2 seasons, so it was wonderful to be back "home".  We came back up here (DC) Sunday and did touristy things on Monday.
