I feel like I should be doing more

My wedding is May 21st (a little less than 9 months away) and I feel like I should be doing more now as far as planning.  So far we have done the following:

- Booked venue (includes caterer), florist, DJ, photographer, and officiant
- Found a bridemaid dress (no one has ordered yet though)
- Narrowed down to top choice for my dress
- Compiled guest list and most of the addresses
- Sent STDs
- Meeting with Caterer this week to get a better idea of what food substitutions we can do

Is there anything that you guys can think of that you think is better to do sooner rather than later?  I am in my slow period at work right now and my busiest time will be from Dec until the wedding so I want to get as much done now that I can. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

*I accidently posted this to begin with on the NC - Raleigh/ Durham board instead of here. I can't figure out how to delete the post on the Raleigh/ Durham board assuming I'm allowed to?

Things I wish I'd done at 9ish months that I don't see on your list:

    - booked a baker and decided on cake design
    - decided on an invitation design
    - ordered envelopes and hired a calligrapher (if you've already got your addresses from STD's, it's not too soon to get these addressed and calligraphers book early)
    - found someone to do my hair
    - found attendant gifts
    - choose readings (if you're having them)
    - write vows (if you're doing that)
    - made a plan for favors

Girl you are way ahead of me and our weddings are at the same time. I feel like it's too soon to make a decision on a cake or hair in case I change my mind but apparently I need to get on it!

I'm not saying decide on a design or hairstye.  Just find someone to do them

I with I'd done more earlier because life is unpredictable.  There are so many things that I thought I had plenty of time to do, then things happened and I wasn't doing anything WR for a while and now it's crunch time.  I can't tell you how many times I thought "she's already decided that, wow, crazy early planner, huh?" and now I'm a little jealous of those who are smooth sailing while I've got a lot left to do.

I had a very slow wedding period between 9 and like 4 months, and then I kicked it into high gear, so I think you are at a normal phase.  That said, if this is your slow time, I would get as much done as possible.  I ended up making my own checklist once I had most thins planned out (like decorations) and marked the ones that had to be done last second (like seating chart/escort cards, buying pumpkins, etc.) and then knew which ones I had to do early.

Thanks for the ideas! I think I will definently make my own checklist so I can see what things can be done sooner rather than later. :)

I'm with Mary....If I could turn back the calendar, I would have checked a lot more off my list earlier!  I say do anything that you can do early so the last couple of months are not so stressful.  I've had several breakdowns in the last couple of weeks because there is just so much to do (that HAS to be done) and so little time to do it in.  But, you really are doing good considering most people don't have everything together that early!  Good for you!  I wish I had kicked myself in the butt a while back and not procrastinated so much!

I felt the same way about that point.  It was like I was bored with nothing to do.  It's hard when you have the big things out of the way to find something to focus on.  Don't worry.  You are not alone.  Like PP said, we all go through this.
