Traditional Gift Exchange

My hubby-to-be and I are getting married in Provence in June.  Somehow he found out that the traditional gift from the groom to the bride in France is shoes!  Does anyone happen to know what the traditional gift from the bride to the groom is in France??  Thanks!

    I have family in France, and I've never heard of the shoe tradition, or of a traditional  French gift from the bride to her groom.

    Just get your husband something personal that he'll enjoy. If you want to go with American tradition, get him cufflinks/a watch.
