Taxi?

I'm concerned about my guests drinking and driving.  Is it tacky to post one or two taxi phone numbers next to the hotel information on my wedding website?

Re: Taxi?

  • I don't see a problem with that. Another idea is to make sure the bartenders/servers at your reception have a few taxi services to recommend, too.
  • I have seen really cute taxi cards available at the reception.  They had a cute sayings on them.  I wish I saved one of them.
I suggest you have cards available at the reception- not just website- for those who didn't intend to need the taxi... or forgot to save the number from the website.

I think this is a great thing to do.  My town doesn't have any hotels, so my sis and I planned our receptions 20+ minutes away.  2 months ago- another bride in my town didn't and one of her best friends killed her uncle and severally injured her aunt.  A tragedy like that is horrible, and although you don't have total control to prevent something like that, you can make it less likely to occur.
  • Wow pharm thats horrible.

Yeah I would have cards available at the reception as well, or have the bartenders ready with numbers for people to call.
