Clarisonic

Does anyone have one? Do you love it/hate it, or are you just "meh" about it? I've been eyeballing them for a while and while it seems like a magic machine, the price is kind of scaring me....

Re: Clarisonic

  • Check out the nest's fashion and beauty board.  I've seen a few posts about this over there.  http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/43337474.aspx

  • I have one, and I really like it a lot. I have keratosis pilaris and rosacea on my cheeks (great combo, right?), so my skin can get very red and rough if I don't treat it properly. After about 6 months, I'm seeing a huge difference. My face is less red and much, much smoother. I really like it, and I'm so glad I bought it.

The one thing to know is that the brush can also spread bacteria around from an open blemish (gross, sorry, but true). As in, if you have a whitehead that opens up, the brush will transfer the bacteria around your face while you're using it, which will cause you to break out more. So, I just don't use it on my chin if I'm breaking out, but I use it when my skin is clear.

    LOVE it.
  • Thanks Poli! I have KP on my arms really bad, and was hoping to use the Clarisonic coupled w/ Dermadoctor KP duty to get it under control before the wedding
  • Do it! I also have KP on my arms, and I found that Clarisonic + AmLactin cream + saran wrap worked wonders. Yes, saran wrap. Wrap your arms in it after applying the cream before you go to bed, and leave it on all night. It takes some getting used to, but it works wonders!
  • The girl who does my facials recommended it to me a few weeks ago. Haven't bought one yet but she's amazing so I plan to.
  • I have one! I have the Clarisonic Mia, which is a smaller version. It only has one speed, which is fine with me. I love it though. I use mine on my arms too (Stupid KP!) and I use dermadoctor KP duty. I have the sensitive brush for my arms, and switch to the normal brush for my face. I am thinking about switching to AmLactin XL, because I'm not totally satisfied with the dermadoctor. I've never heard of the saran wrap thing, poli..that makes sense though! Do you do that each night or what?
I have been trying to figure out a more aggressive plan of action for my KP and that sounds like it might help.
