I'm really over reading the WR stuff sooo there's that. lol

Re: Help keep me awake!!

  • Tell us about your first real day! ...unless I missed it. In that case, you could provide this slacker a link =)
  • Read LDY's link!

  • I did read LDY's link and it was funnay. :)

First real day.  Well, I went in at 8:30, had an hour meeting from 9-10 (ran over), then another one from 11-12, lunch, meeting from 1-2:45, meeting from 3-4:30 then I came home.  My brain feels a little stupid.  I had so many stupid moments today where I knew I should have caught on to something, but just.. didn't.  It was kind of annoying.
  • Glad to hear the new job is going well, Snips.

I just quit my job last week and I feel so relieved. I really need to get my as$ off of TK and be productive since H is going to expect me to have some stuff packed up real soon. We are trying to take some stuff we aren't using home later this week. The less we have to move in a month or so, the better.

Definitely MUD. There is no way this crap is real. I don't know how you can be that ignorant to what is going on with your body.
  • The Championship is tonight?! SCHIT.  It's going to be way too late for me to watch. :( Boo.

    I'm going Butler.
  • I'm totally going UConn, because it means bank for FI if they win.  And we could use money right now.

I agree that this particular post is MUD, but it *does* happen. I'm sure you've seen me talk about my cousin...full term baby that she didn't know about until the day she delivered. I think a lot of it is denial and people who are just plain morons. It DOES happen, but I think that particular post is MUD. She seemed like a completely moron, however. I'm torn.  UConn is my team (since yale didn't really have sports, I cheered for them), but I love an underdog.  Of course, Butler isn't the underdog they were last year.

Oh well, I'm just happy Kentucky lost, so I'm good either way :).
  • I'll agree that some people don't know they are pregnant (lose weight, had spotting all along, etc.), but using "pull and pray" to me means this is MUD.
  • that story has to be a MUD.    Most the women on the show have legit reasons for not believing they were pregnant. Most of them were due to medical issues and them being told they could not have children.    A normal health woman of child-barring age should always think pregnancy is a possibility.

Anyway.  The Coast Guard shut down our boat today so our trip was cancelled.   There goes an easy 8 hour shift that normally pays well gone down the drain.  Let's hope the problem is fixed by tomorrow.

  • LDY - I don't remember you talking about your cousin, but I have heard stories of people who didn't know they were pregnant until the delivered or whatever. I just think its rare and that if you suspect you could be pregnant, why not take a pregnancy test or go to the doctor?
  • Because I have 2 kids, I always thought that there is no way a woman can not know they are pregnant. But after watching "I didn't know I was pregnant" I guess it can happen.

</div><div> Meaning, if you are looking for the signs you will see them.  If you are not, you can easily explain away.   Except for the baby moving and/or your stomach getting oddly bigger. .  Those I do not get missing.  But I can see some women missing the signs for the first few months.  </div><div>

<div>one day last week (when I was off) one of the rudders was damaged.  Today they took off the rudder to get fixed and under-estimated the time it would take.  So it's not ready yet (island time anyone?)..   The Coast Guard will not let us go with only one rudder (we would have just used the engines).</div><div>

    <div>hehe. </div><div>
</div><div>Actually we beach our boat because we do not have a dock.   We rarely (like 1-3 times a year) have a shore break.  On that day there was plus 40+ people.  A big wave came in just as they were pulling off the beach and it slammed the boat down into a shallow part.  Just a weird set of events that caused the damage. </div>
