I know work bridal showers don't always follow the same set of "rules" that regular showers do..but for my work shower tomorrow its a double bridal shower for both me and this other lady who got married back in September but who hasn't gone on her honeymoon yet. So kind of a bridal shower for me and honeymoon shower for her, if there is such a thing. The planning was out of my control and all "hush hush" by our social committee (who is headed by a 27 year old guy btw). So its a double shower and instead of having everyone buy two gifts they are doing a money tree, which they will split the money in half for us to spend on our honeymoons. Like I said, I didn't know this was the plan until today when I saw the big tree in the staff lounge. I don't know much else about the shower except that its at a nearby resturant and I think theres going to be some sort of "naughty" cake involved (my cowokers are all very close as you can tell).
How irritated would you be if this happened in your workplace? Would it be a big deal? Do I need to walk into my shower tomorrow with my head down?! I'm kind of feeling like it was a bad idea..but there's not much I can do about it. Just was wondering everyone's opinion on the matter.
