I know you are around here.  Its not totally dead but I thought it was time for the thread.

I'm feeling like a total dope.  I ordered the cutest ornament today from a great etsy seller and agreed to pay expedited shipping to get it on time.  So she makes it, tells me its pretty and is going out tomorrow.  I show H, and he says...ugh why does it say Mr. and Ms. W?   Should be Dr. and Ms.

How funny is that I changed it from Mrs. to Ms. from the original design but forgot that my H goes by Dr. 

hopefully she can send us another one.

You're silly.  I'm sure she can make you a new one.  

so I am still sore from doing the Kinect yesterday.  Almost as bad as after I went spinning for the first time.

IS NOT HAPPY! I just baked 4 dozen sugar cookies. Made a double batch of royal icing. And I find out that I don't have the couplers I need to ice the cookies.

So we had our followup ultrasound today. It is what they thought it was. They believe its a bilateral cleft which is the most serious out of the clefts as its on both sides and not just one. They couldn't get a good image of his face as he wouldn't move his hand out of the way. They think its just hereditary as DH has 2 cousins that have had it and had the corrective surgery to fix it.

I opted to do the amnio to test for Trisomy 13 which is a chromosomal disorder that can be associated with cleft palates and is not detected in the quad screen. The little bugger does not like them messing with momma, they were viewing everything on the ultrasound during the procedure and they got the needle in and he moved right into the area they were trying to get the fluid from.

Now we are back to the waiting game. We have to wait for the results of the amnio which should be 10 to 14 days and then we have to schedule another appointment with the high risk OB at UW in a month to do another ultrasound to see how its progressing and to see if they can get a better image of babies face.

yep - its early March.  I think it will be best - I don't want to be PG during the honeymoon and there really isn't any reason to start now.  My goal is to be pregnant while I'm 30. 

ciaram - I'm really sorry that they found the cleft.  I'll be keeping you in my thoughts!  Can they schedule the surgery and everything prior to the birth?  I'm sure he is going to be the cutest little thing ever.

Aww, Ciara. I am sorry to hear about the cleft palette. I couldn't imagine playing that waiting game with going from doctor to doctor. Keep us posted.

Ciaram -- how are you holding up?  It's better to know than not, and at least you know some relatives who have had it done and look fine.  I'm sending you a hug right now.

Under our tree are all of H's presents from me and a present from H's parents for me (they didn't wrap it and they mailed it to me, so I already know it's a Kindle with 3G).  There's nothing from H!  I'm sort of convinced that he forgot to order a present on time.  Hmph.

I'm holding up ok. I'm very sore from the amnio. That is not a fun experience. It also didn't help that he was being protective of momma and moved into the area they were trying to get fluid from.

Was there something else other than the cleft palate that makes them think the baby is Trisomy 13?  I'm so sorry, Ciara.  I'm sending a bunch of prayers your way right now.

Today was a really good day. I got H's presents, did some errands, cooked some delicious dinner that H loved and here I am. Tomorrow I will wrap them. Then we are going to a friend's (well she is old enough to be our Mom) for dinner, so at least I won't have to cook tomorrow night.

Do you ladies think tomorrow is too early to start doing some baking? I have been debating doing it either tomorrow or Thursday?

My Mom had that amnio test with my sister bc they thought she had Down Syndrome. Turns out she was completely fine, but I remember my Mom tallking about it years later.

Nothing they could see this time as he wasn't cooperating and they couldn't get a good view of his spine. We are all hopeful that its not Trisomy 13 as they didn't see anything on the other ultrasound 2 weeks ago. They just want to check to make sure. I really didn't want the amnio but I'd much rather wait 2 weeks rather than 4 months to know if there is something else wrong.

Hi!!  I have a meeting in a few, but then I'll be back.

I did not work out today, but I will tomorrow.  I was sort of a bum.  I need to finish shopping for H at some point - before Friday LOL.  I pretty much know what he's getting I just have to accomplish it.  And get the house ready for a houseguest - our friend is staying with the dog for a few days while we run up to WI to see my family.
