I'm totally gonna call him Herbert now.

Completely unrelated but I went to school with a guy who actually went by his middle name.  His first name was Herbert.

I did not marry him.

Okay, this isn't a peeve, but it's something I've seen a lot of around here and don't understand - the OP as a quote in a response, but no actual response after that. Does that mean something?

It usually means it's being quoted just in case the OP decides to delete the post.
