Our wedding is 250 days away... the venue we rented/paid/signed a contract with is backing out on us...
I emailed the venue after the New Year asking how the renovation were going, this is response i got back from her..
"So when you and I talked, I thought the downstairs was available in the fall 2011, but what I didn't know was that we were near a final agreement with a great company called Etsy (www.etsy.com) Esty is going to rent the entire 1st floor for the whole year as well as create about 30 jobs in the area. I know that you are your fiance looked at both the first and second floors, and I hope that you are OK with using the light-filled second floor for your reception. There will be new bathrooms on the second floor of course. I hope this is OK with you, and if not, I will absolutely give you your deposit back, and no hard feelings I hope.
Thoughts? Please let me know if you would like to swing by again to take another look and discuss further. "
Now I know bringing 30 jobs to the area is wonderful, don't get me wrong. But when was she going to tell us that we would not be able to use the first floor? Our contract said we had the entire building. The second floor isn't even handicapped assessable, there is no elevator just a small finicky stairwell.
No way is my grandmother getting up it!!!
I am so upset 
I guess it could be worse...
Now I have to start over.
