Invitations to foreign relatives

I've never seen this anywhere.  My daughter's soon to be mother in law is from Italy.  Her family lives in a rural village where no one speaks English.  Do we send them a "regular invitaion" or have some printed in Italian or send an Italian translation of the official invitation along with the regular invitation??  Any ideas will be welcome.  thanks

Re: Invitations to foreign relatives

  • If they don't speak English it might be best to have some printed in Italian to avoid any confusion.
  • For my first marriage, my dad had translated ours into Hungarian.  And actually several members of the family made the trip for the wedding!
  • How are you getting the invitations printed? If you are DIYing them, you could pretty easily translate them and send them in Italian. At the very least you need to send a translation along with the "regular" one.
