Should I expect a bridal shower?

My wedding is in 2 months and nobody has said anything to me about a bridal shower. My MOH is throwing my bachelorette party and that is already in the works and that is 9/11
Just wondering if I should expect someone to throw me a bridal shower or just dont worry about it if nobody does

Don't expect it and don't worry about it. Lots of people don't have showers.

  • Nope, you should never expect people to throw parties for you. Its wonderful if they do, and you can be dissapointed if they don't, but you can't really mention it or ask someone to throw you a shower without coming off like a brat.

It might be that money was tight, and your MOH thought you would like a bachelorette party more, or that someone is planning you a surprise shower, or they are just still trying to work out the details.

Just wait it out and see, you might be pleasantly surprised.

  • Thanks everyone! My fiance told me to ask his mom about it, but I told him no way!
  • We are 5 days from the wedding, and no bridal showers.  Which is fine by me.  I have enough going on.

  • I only had a small work shower. Was I disappointed...yeah a little, especially when I went to my little cousins a few weeks after my wedding. But I got over it.

  • I'm not gonna lie, I would be upset. No one needs to do anything fancy. A backyard little gathering would be nice. But that's just my opinion.
