That's the thing, they are!  If these people would check that board out for one hot second they'd have the answers to all of their questions.

it's raining here AGAIN.  But I just housed an everything bagel and am enjoying  anice big cup of tea, so that's good.

OH! And I sent invites out Saturday and got 2 RSVPs yesterday!!  WOOT!

Pinot, I don't even know if people realize we have an Invite board. Shoot, I have to point out to people on attire that they're not on their local. I had one girl even PM for directions to her local. I think that place is making me dumber.

I hope you told her to go straight with her mouse, make a slight right, click the red box with a white 'X' and exit the internets immediately.

Ha... I did a post and run! Sorrry!!

No, I didn't get in trouble with the mod thing from the other day.  Yesterday just blew donkey balls.  We had a reallly bad experience at Ikea.  We were trying to furnish our house with important stuff, you know, like a BED, and they wouldn't take our Italian bank card, which we've been using all over the place up here.  It was a mess.  And then we got lost on the way home, and drove nearly 30 miles out of our way.  *sigh*  Suffice it to say, I was not in a talkin' mood. 

Sweden's good.  I just wish the weather would stop sucking.  All the Swedes say this is the worst spring, beginning of summer they've had in the past 20 years.  So awesome we get to be here for it!

Anyway, we haven't moved into our new place yet either so no pics.  Sorry~

That sucks, did you have another card you could use so that you have a bed?  And you could look at getting lost as an impromptu tour of the area.

Nope! BEd for us!  We thought we were super clever when we moved to Italy and got a brand new apartment furnished with all brand new stuff.  So we didn't buy anything.  Now we have to furnish the whole apartment.  Ooops!

Most of Europe uses cards that are more like debit cards.  Even the credit cards you have to use a PIN, and since US cards don't have those, it freaks them out even more.  Last time H used his US card to buy a wireless router, they asked for 3 forms of ID.  It's a PITA.

It has seemed slow, I haven't been on much during the day because work has been crazy, but when I pop on it's slow enough to catch up quick.

Pirata and everything bagel sounds so yummy right now... but I"m trying to eat healthy

I remember reading that before, I <em>think </em>she may of had a civil ceremony first and the whole wedding blow out later.

Were you not around for that? Feels like you've been here forever. Verona had a green card JOP wedding, followed by a huge formal wedding (she refused to call it a vow renewal). There was an ongoing stink over it--mostly centered around her attitude that her legal ceremony wasn't a "real" marriage.

Kiki, yeah Verona was married before her wedding I believe. I don't think it was a secret or anything.

Amoro, worth the read?  Eh, some old reminiscing but nothing too crazy.

What I found interesting about the thread was how people seemed okay about ripping Scooby about her wedding dress, even when she was here.  I thought we had some line about not making fun of people's dresses or appearance?  Why didn't that apply to her?  Maybe she really was too poor to buy a new dress or have that old one altered.  Maybe in her small town, it was pretty and nice.  I think it's kind of mean to say otherwise.  There are plenty of people here with dresses I didn't care for but I would never say that to them or about them here.

Ohhh, ok, yeah I had no idea about Verona's JOP thing.  When I came around, she was getting paged every 5 minutes by someone to tell her how beautiful she/her wedding was.

I have to be honest, a cousin of mine recently got married, and she wore a 1984 dress too.  It was horrible.  I've had a really hard time not asking her why the hell she wore that.   My sister doesn't have money, but she didn't wear that kind of fug-hell. 

Anyway, I know I've made fun of the Scooby dress, but I guess the line is more of a "Why are you wearing a 30 year old dress that has no sentimental value to you?" than "That's NMS or it doesn't fit right.

Yes, and oddly enough scoobs was one of the only people to stand up for me during the entire thing.
