Opinions, please.

I'm going to receive my first save-the-date.

I just got an e-mail from a relative. She said that she sent a save-the-date for her wedding and it was returned.

She asked for "your" current address. I wish there was a singular "your" and a plural "your" in English.

I hope she invites my fiancé. He feels confident that she will because she's "good about those things".

We live in Colorado and she lives in California. We don't see each other often.

However, my fiancé has been with me numerous times that we have seen each other at family get-togethers.

I'm pleased to get the e-mail because I wanted to be invited to her wedding.

I'm thinking about putting my name and my fiance's name above our current address. Or, I could give her the proper spelling of his unusual name, in case she needs it.

I don't see the difference between adding his name or telling her how to spell it.  Just write :

Our address is:

Karen's Hopping & FI

address

So now that I helped you with a WR question, will you tell us if you are writing a book or something about wedding planning?

Yeah, when I get an email like that, I just respond as if they had also asked about Charlie. Makes things easier. He's my dance buddy.

dnbeach, yes, I'll tell you. Not just because you helped me, which you did, thank you for that, I was planning to anyway. But I won't make you wait any longer or put it in a poll. No, I'm not writing a book "or something" about wedding planning UNLESS posts on wedding message boards count as "or something". I'm just really enjoying wedding planning.

anna, as much as I like polls, I didn't choose to add one to this post because a statistical answer doesn't interest me in this case. Seriously, it's Karen shopping. :-)

cupcakes, I may not understand your question correctly but I'll try to answer it. I've been posting for about a year on another message board. So theknot.com isn't getting me at the I-just-got-engaged-what-do-I-do stage. In addition, I got an unfortunate reaction to an early, apparently unfortunate, post on this board. I wasn't feeling an initial receptivity to what I might have to say so I avoided it until now. I may be having a hard time adjusting to the format of theknot.com. I'm used to a sequential message board with some subject icons. Each time, I try to post on the board that seems most appropriate to that post's content.
