The booze part is awesome because my booze bill for the wedding will actually be less now...

The rest of it sucks though. Did you all get your 'little cheque' from the provincial government to make up for the tax...as if it is going to make up for all the increases.

I did read my little booklet but in the end, what difference does it really make. Some things are going to cost more, something aren't and alcohol is the only thing that is going to cost less.

The unfortunate part of all of it is that we were pretty much powerless to change anything. Petition or not, the government was going to pass it and we all have to suck it up. The part I hate is that now the general population is going to hate the Liberals so much they will vote in the Conservatives and that is never good for teachers, we are still trying to win back what we lost under assface Harris...

I hate Mike Harris with a burning passion. I was year one of the no-OAC. 75% of my graduating class ended up going into a program and either finishing it and totally switching, or dropping it and starting over in something totally different. I'd kick him in the junk if I ever met him.

Wait a second...the 2% difference between the 15% I was going to pay on liquor and the 13% I will now pay makes a difference of $35 on my total tax due on the bar portion of the reception...booooooooo
