I would tell everybody that I MEAN to be on WoW from time to time, but I keep going to bed really early.  Sometimes I just fall asleep watching TV.  This whole building a person thing leaves me wiped out.

While I agree that talking to them or having her FI talk to them (which may have happened and they still won't budge) would be a better approach, I don't really think it's that out there to want to call another adult by their first name (and not Mr or Mrs. Whatever) if you're not comfortable enough to call them Mom & Dad.

I don't think it's that out there, but I remember telling her that it wasn't her decision at the time. Maybe they're just old-fashioned. And anyway, I wouldn't do something that would intentionally disrespect and piss off my in-laws, no matter what I WANTED to do.
