AW: I've entered the dark side (aka I'm married&pics inside)

Hey so I'm finally back after my HM and wedding and all that jazz. Holy balls. What a whirlwind of awesome! The wedding was everything I hoped it to be and it went WAY TOO FAST. But I am still overwhelmed by the generosity of all my family and friends, I feel so grateful! There were the very MINOR hiccups but really nothing major went wrong. I didn't think i was going to cry but of course during J's vows I started and then was all wobbly sounding and weepy during my own vows, heh. The only unfortunate moment was when my great grandma passed out and had to be taken to the hospital because she was severely dehydrated. Thankfully she was able to go home that night though.

I don't have photos yet but a few have been posted on FB from a friend and also a few "teasers" from the photog:

The HM in Hawaii was amazing. Expensive, but amazing. YAY! Ok, done AWing now.

The mashed potatoes were fantastic, MP! Lots of people loved the different toppings they had to choose too. We went to the Kona side of the Big Island, at the Hilton Waikoloa. I've been to Oahu before and this was totally different than the big city!

Sounds like a great time (both mashed potatoes and the honeymoon).  It must be a shock to be back, especially in the frozen tundra of Minnesota.

Lissa-- I would say if you have the budget, it is a great place to go. J and I were a little unprepared for how expensive it was once we got there. We got a great deal through a travel agent for hotel&air prices, but since the resort is so HUGE and kind of in the middle of nowhere, they make their prices insanely ridiculous for anything. I think our cheapest dinner for both of us usually still was around $40-50 and that was with only one or 2 drinks. If you can, I'd rent a car and drive to some of the shops down the road where they have a few more restaurants that are a LITTLE cheaper, and a grocery store if you want to buy some cheaper snacks or breakfast food. If you want a quieter hotel room with a great view (if you can get an ocean view, take it because they are amazing!) I'd go with the Ocean Tower. It's furthest away from most things but if you are able bodied, the walk isn't really that bad.

Congrats and you look absolutely gorgeous! I'm jealous of your trip to Hawaii, we went to Maui for our honeymoon and I'm already itching to go back.
