A Huge Help!

I just wanted to say thanks...I tried posting things on my state message board (very few responses) and my month board (a seperate FB page was created so now very few responses), and I genuinely appreciate the feedback I've gotten and seeing what other people have questions about...So thanks!

Re: A Huge Help!

  • You're very welcome :. I too was deeply grateful for all the advice I got for my wedding. This board helped me to make it a gracious and lovely event not just for me and my husband, but for my guests as well. It was a special day for everyone, and that was important to us.

  • So you don't think we're big ole meanies?  :-)
  • Hooray! Glad you are having a positive experience!
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I second OP.  I don't post often on this particular board, but I have found the advice given to be very helpful.  I know everyone's situation is different but in general, I am grateful to have access to such helpful tips and people. Smile

  • I'll also jump on the bandwagon. I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but all of the info here has helped me a lot!

  • Glad you all find us helpful.  Please stick around and let us get to know you :).
  • This board has been a huge help for me, too, even though I still have a lot of planning still to do! I've learned a ton, which is good because there are a lot of things FI would be willing to do that I know now aren't cool. He's very much so an "It's OUR day" person.

  • I agree!  OP...The Rhode Island board is kind of dead :)
  • I know I've learned so much from this board and I truly enjoy reading the different perspectives given. Every question I've had has been answered. Certain choices I've made have been a direct result of the information I've read on these forums.

Many thanks from me as well :)

<div>Mine too!  It's the strangest thing...he refuses to ask his GM their budgets because "nobody every asked him."  Sigh...</div><div>
</div><div>I agree with PPs-I mostly post on my month board but lurking here has been a huge help.  It is great to hear perspectives outside of my friends and family.</div>
  • I hope none of you remember my rough start, but I am very happy I stuck around. You ladies are a wealth of helpful info.

  • Joining this love-fest.  I've learned sooooo much on these boards about what is and isn't appropriate, and how to handle sticky situations and be a gracious host.  My sister is planning her wedding right now as well, and has had some issues come up and I was able to help her work through some of them because of what I learned here!  I feel so prepared. :)
It's amazing what you learn here.
