In Response to Re: Waaaaaake uuuuuup!! : Silly it may be, but not only did I empty the freezer, fridge and pantry, I also checked inside all the pots and pans. :-)

I once lost my license and bank card.....after days of searching I finally went and got a new license. I walked in the door from getting it and thought about this little lip that was on my sofa where the back cushions were attached and maybe it was in between them and I didn't check good enough. Sure enough I reached my hand in and pulled out both. I was SO p*ssed.
• I don't have any work relationships outside of work, so I always feel like I have to "make" conversation, when really I couldn't care less. I mean, there's a couple of ladies whose lives I sort of follow, but I can hear about that in the morning and still have lunch by myself. :)
• Stacks, I think my crowning achievement was when I lost my keys, ripped my house apart looking for them, and eventually had to call a coworker who also had a key to come let me into my store. I put on my jacket to go down and meet her at the store... and my keys were halfway up the sleeve of the jacket. How does that even happen!?

oh wow. That's pretty random.
• I'm still sleepy. We're house/dog sitting this week and the dogs woke me up. Boo.
• So far this morning I've managed to splash water on my white blouse while making coffee. Then I spilled coffee on my pants and the floor. Followed by spilling all of my belongings onto the ground while I tried to balance them enough to open the door (didn't work obviously). Today is looking greeeeeat so far.

Georgia if you lived here I'd make you be my lunch buddy.

• I'm a total lunch hermit! My office is behind the stairs (so harry potter!) and no one ever remembers to come see what I'm doing for lunch. So i eat alone and surf on TK!

Stakeye, I've done the exact same thing with my license! how annoying!

We just moved from a 700 sqft apartment to an approximately 1800 sqft house. I love it but it is very overwhelming to clean. I'm actually hiring a cleaning service for the first time ever to mop and such before the wedding next week. It's just too much for me to do, and I'm super lazy. and FI doesn't care about how clean it is so he won't do it either. PS the cleaning service is only $20/hour/person, so I think its a really good deal!

OMG 12 days until our wedding! The countdown has begun. Did anyone else get super tired and exhausted in the days leading up? I mean I slept 8 hours last night and could not wake up this morning. I need a vacation!

I dunno GB, seems like some of her luck might rub off on you.... O_O

• I'm a big lunch hermit. Granted, nobody in our office really eats together, but yeah, I either a) work and eat at my desk; b) go to the gym and eat at my desk when I get back; or c) shut my office door and watch Hulu while I eat.

• um, someone is clipping their nails in my office again! cringing.
• I thought the same thing! Our house that we just bought is 900-950 sq. ft. Not much bigger. But its layed out well so that makes a difference.

• parker I have 39 days and I am SO ready for this to be over. I totally hear you. 39 days to the wedding... but 37 days until I'm off work for 2 weeks. I may be more excited about that, at this point.
• Well, Amoro, I'm pretty klutzy as it is (I forgot to tell y'all I almost busted my face on our date the other night by accidentally stepping into the pinestraw bed lining the sidewalk-- apparently there is quite a bit of pine straw and not much ground in the beds, because my right ankle bent all weird and then my left knee locked, and had H not caught me, I'd have skinned my knees, elbows, and face), so I don't think I'd be too affected.

Plus, lunch in Vally's town is probably way more fun than lunch in my little podunk town. We could watch cruise ships come and go all day.
• Good Morning!

Lunch hermit here! I always eat lunch in my classroom. I hate going to the teacher's lounge for anything. They don't clean out the microwave or the fridge. So what did I do? Went and bought both! They fit very nicely behind my desk. I can't stand when grown folks don't clean up behind themselves.
And the whole time, my future husband was in the room...... image image
In Response to Re: Waaaaaake uuuuuup!! : I've lost 4 family members to terminal illnesses, and no, that's not been true in the cases I've seen, ever. They go from bad to worse to coma and slip away. I'm pretty sure "moment of clarity where everything is fine" is a movie/TV creation, mostly (although I'm sure it happens occasionally in real life, in my experience, it's not the rule).
Posted by Brie2010
I've known it to happen with a few people in my family and others have said it happened with someone they knew, too. I know it doesn't happen all the time, but I still think it's pretty common.
Morning! My last apartment was 600sq ft or so. It was okay when it was just me living there, but as soon as H moved in and got me a cat, it was entirely too small. We have about 1200sq ft now and it's just the right size. (I feel like Little Red Riding Hood with that statement). And I, too will probably cry tonight watching Deadliest Catch. I liked the way they edited it last week and didn't make it overly emotional. I guess because it's mostly a guys show, they didn't want to scare their audience away.

haha - do you mean Goldilocks?? I was all - why would Red Riding Hood care about a right sized apartment??

Anyway... our last apartment was about 600 sq. feet and we lived there together for a year and a half sharing one tiny closet! We loved it but now we have an apartment with SEVEN closets!!! It's heaven.

• I am indeed an air-pocket tripper. It's only resulted in a broken bone once; usually I just escape with bruises and an embarrassing anecdote.

Meh, I just scheduled a massage for next wedneday. taking 2 weeks off starting wednesday! woo hoo!
• At lunch, I turn my chair around and read facing the window and my pretty pretty view. I used to love going out with people for lunch when I lived in Calgary and people were sociable. But the last two places I've worked here have sucked for that. No one goes out. So... now I'm a hermit.
