You need a longer coat, my dear.
  • It's a frigid 41 here, no snow. We're supposed to see flurries tomorrow afternoon after it passes by sara and capri. I doubt it'll stick. When it snowed last year, it only stuck for a couple of hours, but I got some funny pics of B throwing mini snowballs.

(although it is inevitable... let me hold out just a little longer) Not to mention I have a wedding in 10 weeks! So, there.

  • I have been in Pittsburgh this week for work and I am hoping that the snow stops before I fly back to NYC on Friday. My office is thankfully right accross from the hotel Im staying in so I don't have to walk / drive in it.

  • I voted 'don't love it, don't hate it' but I like it, as long as I'm driving my car and I'm warm.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Snowe Pole : Is this your first winter here, Capri? If so, be sure you stock up on milk and bread, and DON'T go out if you don't have to. The idiots around here can barely drive on I-75-I-85 when it rains; they sure as Hell can't drive in the snow.

It's my second.  But last year, it only snowed once.  Everyone was sooooo freaked out about black ice!  I think some power lines came down, but that's about the extent of it.

When it snows, I didn't know people rush to the stores.  I asked someone why it was so busy, they looked at me and said, "You're not from around here, are you?" lol  Uh, no.
  • cacoffer--People are like that here in Pgh too, and we're used to winter weather.  They buy all the bread & toilet paper. Hilarious.

adamnkel--Nice! I work in town, but kind of on the other end from where you are!  If we'd known earlier, we could have met for lunch!

  • Pirata13- I'll let you know if I have to come back again. I have been in Pittsburgh 7 different weeks since Labor day but I think I am done for a while.

  • No way!  Well yeah, definitely let me know if you come back.  I'll get you over to South Side for some dinner at one of our favorite spots!

I really really really hate the cold. really. I never want to live north of Dallas. Snow and skiing is fun and all, but for a few days. and I have numb fingers and toes for all of those days. I love my SE Texas winters where it rarely dips below freezing. I don't even mind our 100+ degree summers.

and yes, if there is even a chance of snow in the forecast, we get the mad rush to the store to buy milk, bottled water, TP, and batteries. and bleach. don't ask why.

  • I've never actually been close enough to snow to touch it, so can I pick 'none of the above' please?
