  • LDY has quite the potty mouth.

ANY - only truckers talk that way, not all American's.  Well unless you're in traffic.  Then feel free to cuss people out.  Or hold your middle finger up until you're sure the b*tch in front of you saw it (like I did today)
  • Or if you're a member of Team America.

<div>Hah. I won't lie, I try not to drive much down here. People here (here being the city we live in) are effing terrible drivers. Someone almost hits me every single time I drive down the main road. It's scary. Plus, I hate driving automatic. I miss my standard shift =(</div>
  • I lived in Hot Springs, AR and people didn't have any idea how to drive. I am happy now that all the snow birds are leaving so there are some what better drivers now.

<div>Pretty much. On our way down here from Canada, we caught the tail end of that big massive blizzard. I get that this area doesn't get snow much, but in a 50 mile span, I counted<em> 97 </em>cars that had plowed themselves off the highway. Here's a hint: Ice is slippery. </div>

They are all coming back here where I get to deal with them for the next 6 months. I can't stand the drivers here. They are all mostly tree hugging liberals that believe that you shouldn't be allowed to drive more than 35 on a road marked 50. And don't even get me started about what happens when it rains. Then we are talking alost 25 miles under the speed limit.

  • Ciara, I love that.

The drivers suck here in GA, too. Every time I go somewhere I narrowly avoid an accident. I just hope my car insurance rates drop when we move.
  • When it rains here, people act like they have never seen it or driven in it before.

That's how it is in California.  It could drizzle, and there will be accidents left and right.
  • realize i'm new... and skipped all the lovefest in the last 7 pages b/c I'm new here...
but does it make anyone else a little sad that there are so many unhappily married people on KPS?

and I totally relate to the no friends thing.  FI and I talk about it all the time and we've been living here for 3 years.  We'll be out to dinner wondering if the couple sitting at the table next to us is friendly b/c we so desperately want to meet people.  lame.
  • larz- what area do you live in?
    imageBabyFruit Ticker
  • I feel like I should know this, but what does KPS stand for?
  • Beach - FI and I just bought a house in the Bothell/Mill Creek area.  Before that we were renting a townhouse in Redmond... bet you can guess where we work....
  • I want to tell them it's SEATTLE, actually it's western Washington it rains here. GET OVER IT and learn how to drive! I have been driving in it for 7 years now and if I can handle it so can everyone else.

Ciara - Fi and I are used to Chicago driving - it drives us CRAZY how timid the drivers are here.  Traffic would flow so much better if people would step on it a little bit!

  • I get some serious road rage because I drive like my grandma and I hate timid drivers. You would think that I wouldn't mind it since this is where I learned to drive, but grandma was an aggressive driver and she taught me to drive.

Nope, Bothell. It's just south of Everett.  It takes us about 20 mins (heading north on I-5) to get to the outlet mall in Marysville if that gives you a reference point. :)
  • oh shoot you were guessing where I worked not questioning where I live.  fail.
We both work at MSFT... FI loves it... I'm lukewarm most days.
  • Oh nice.  Did you happen to get a flu shot through work this year?  If so, that was my work who did it.
