So I know yall don't live out here but I just have to share....I recieved an e-mail from the knot about a cake and wine tasting at the Fairmont (which is the nicest hotel in SF) so I RSVPed and thought if my FI and I weren't busy we would check it out. So we end up going and we had to wait in this long line for them to check us in and finally get in to the event only to find that they have ran out of food and we only got a glass of wine. There were probably only like 6 vendors there and none that really benefitted us since we are getting married in NC. Anyway my FI was starving so we were about to take off and then all the sudden everyone at the event starts moving toward another room so we start to follow them only to find that there is another line to stand in. My FI wasn't too happy at this point and was tired of standing in line for nothing....they then open these doors to this gorgeous ball room fully decorated with place settings over looking the bay. So not sure what to think we quickly grab a seat and there was a menu of a 4 course meal with wine pairings.....we were shocked!! None of the e-mails or event descriptions ever said anything about a dinner paired with wine.....it was totally unexpected!! At the end the knot gave all the brides these huge bags filled with goodies.....I couldn't believe we almost left.....we totally thought it was going to be another lame wedding event and it turned out to be a great evening with my FI. Not sure if the knot is doing anything in NC but I totally wouldn't miss it!!!
