My FH and I are planning our wedding for January and have decided to have an immediate family only ceremony followed by a reception for 150. All aunts, uncles, cousins, etc are invited to the reception. Our parents are upset that their siblings aren't invited. All we here is "it is our day, too!" "How can we not invite Aunt/Uncle so and so?" We want a meaningful ceremony since we are both private people but realize that our families expect more. Any suggestions to smooth this situation over? Thanks!
