I need some distraction

Maybe a little sympathy, too. I know, I know, go look in the dictionary between shiit and syphilis. I'm hungry, stuck on a clear liquid diet until after some medical tests tomorrow, and cranky. Entertain me?

So, guy walks into the hotel last night and checks in. He lets me know a "friend" will be coming by shortly, can I give her a key to his room? Sure, I tell him. "Friend" comes in and asks what room so-and-so is in. For some reason it wasn't clicking in my head this was the guy's friend, so I said I'm sorry, I don't know who that is. She goes, well I know he's staying here, but I don't know what room. She tells me his name again, and I just can't find the guy. So she calls guest on her cell phone and asks him what room he's in, and I finally connect the dots that this is the "friend" and I hand her the key. Girl giggles, and goes, that must've been the name of my last guy and heads to his room.

Also last night, a younger guy checks in, from my hometown, about my age maybe a little older. Not long after, two girls who I KNOW are only 17, came in and went to his room and emerged a couple hours later. Ew.

Okay, I edited the original code, so try that one, still using " for the ampersandquot; It should work.

Perhaps I was not the best person to try to help with this.

Thanks, beatles. To keep myself distracted, I've been cooking. Sounds crazy, but when I'm really busy in the kitchen, I kind of lose my appetite. So I've got the spiced merlot cranberry compote for Thursday done, and the candied kumquat hazelnut frangipane tart is in the oven now. Once I can eat again after tomorrow morning, I'm going to make a pig of myself.

Oh yum. And it doesn't sound crazy, I'm the same way. There's something about bustling around a hot kitchen and making things that require precision that takes the appetite right out of me too. Especially if I taste as I go (which you probably can't do right now), by the time dinner's ready I kinda want to just drink some water and watch H eat.

At any rate, you are going to have some fantastic treats tomorrow. I'm jealous.
