Addressing Save the Dates

I'm about ready to send the Save the Dates and am a little confused with addresses. Do I indicate and "and guest" for the save the dates? What about a couple that does not live together? I read somewhere that only the person's name who lives at the address would be listed. For example, if I"m friends with Sarah but don't really know her boyfriend Joe, how would I send this? Thanks!!

Re: Addressing Save the Dates

  • I did not include the "and guest" on the save the date.  I included both names for all married guests, couples living together, etc.  For truly single guests, I included the "and guest" on the invitation.
  • I guess it depends on whether or not you would invite both singly if they were to break up.    If so, then send one to each address.   If not, then I would send the save-the-date to the person you know the best and would invite regardless, and either put "And Guest" or add the name of their S/O.

I put "and guest" for my single guests who are getting +1s (the only single people not in relationships are like three of my cousins, so they can bring someone if they want), so I put it on th save-the date so they would know they could bring somebody and keep that in mind, or know for when they make their travel arrangements.  If any of them are dating someone by the time I send out invitations, I'll list the S/Os name, and if not, I'll just write "and guest" again.

  • Put any bf/gfs names on the envelope, just on a second line like PPs said.  You can include "and guest" on the STD, but keep in mind that means you HAVE to invite them with a guest when the time comes.  If your budget is at all uncertain I'd leave it off...
