So, the girl who gave me the invite to her church just called my cell phone.

I know, I know.  I usually NEVER give out my cell phone number to kids, but I had to keep in touch with her step father one day since he was chaperoning at an event she was auditioning for and gave him my #.  Guess he gave it to her.

Okay, so I just checked my FB and she sent me this message:

Hi Mrs.J. I'm sorry I didn't really stick around after I handed you that invitation. The truth is. I think you forgot to put me as one of your students cause your status keeps showing up on my home page. And I saw one of your statuses with the d word in it and I got really upset. I mean I understand a lot of grown ups do and I've screwed up with cussing a lot. But I kinda felt a little messed up when I saw it. I know I should've told you the moment I saw it but I was scared you'd get mad at me. I had all my friends at church sign that note in hopes that you would come. I'm really sorry I didn't tell you earlier. And it's none of my business. But yeah that kinda shocked and for some reason it hurt when I saw that status. I finally got the guts to tell you but I didn't have the courage to tell you at school today. I got too scared. Please forgive me for not telling you earlier. My youth group and I are praying for you.

Dude. I don't know the best way to handle it, but she's off her rocker.  It's one thing to look up to a teacher, it's another to idolize one so much that you pray constantly for their soul to be encased in your own neurotic religion.

Yeah, I'm now going back past my bday...I saw ass but nothing else.  I even saw a 'stfu'  at someone, but that's not a D word.

I'm mad at myself for not putting her on the Limited Profile list.  Dammit!  (a d word?)  A lot of my kids friend me, but I'm always really good about putting them on the list.

Oh, and the praying for you thing is super common down here.  I've had my 4 year olds tell me that they were praying for me when I was out sick and missed music class one day.  It starts early.
