Howdy!! Glad you had a safe trip; we're headed "down south" EARLY tomorrow morning, so I've bathed the dog and gathered my clothes together.  The dog wasn't very happy. She doesn't tolerate the blow dryer very much, so I did as much as I could, and now she's huddled on the couch under a blanket shivering.
Does she look happy????
Her facial expression right before I took this made me laugh so hard. The camera just happened to be on the bathroom counter, so I grabbed it.

I'm not looking forward to spending hours in a car tomorrow, but it will be worth it to see my grandmother.  She's so excited we're coming up.

amoro - well, if we were FB friends, then I would have messaged you!  When do you leave to go back to Italy?  How far are you from GR?  I don't know what we have planned, but if you'd be interested in meeting up, it'd be awesome!

There's 3 more on FB - she was definitely giving me the evil eye. She is NOT cooperative during baths.  I don't like to give them because of it; fortunately she's never been a super stinky dog - until recently. I'm chalking it up to her age and illness (her breath is bad, too - can't fix that).  She doesn't fight, she just doesn't help.

We're shooting to leave between 4am and 5am.  Twelve hour drive. DH will get up first, shower, then wake me at the last possible moment I need to shower/blow dry and he'll pack his stuff (5-10 minute job) then pack the truck while I'm in the shower. I'll go back to sleep until Emporia KS or so, then we'll stop for breakfast and I'll drive for an hour or so, and then sleep more.  It's a good system, haha! 

He has a much higher tolerance for long distance driving than I do, and we're taking his manual truck, which I can drive, but he drives MUCH better....
