Hey - I saw your post on What's Cooking about the KitchenAid mixer.
I bought that mixer last Black Friday in white and was going to save it until DH and I got married this October (since it was such a good price).
Since I was saving it, I left it in the box. I was at Lowe's in January of this year and they had a black Artisan 5qt (that's nicer than the Walmart one, obviously, since it's bigger) and I bought it and returned the Walmart one.
I wouldn't use my mixer as much if it was any smaller. I always take full advantage of the full 5 quarts.
SO - my point is, you may wanna buy it on BF and if you're not ready to use it ASAP, keep checking Lowe's for one from there... it's regular $269 and I paid about $150. I'm VERY happy with it.
