Receiving Line Plan B

Just wondering if anyone has some suggestions for a plan b receiving line. If no rain we will greet guest as they make their way outside to blow bubbles before we go take photos. However, if it rains we will be limited to the reception hall (which is where the ceremony is taking place also). Does anyone have any clever ideas?

Re: Receiving Line Plan B

  • We weren't allowed to do a recieving line at church, and they went from the church straight to the cocktail hour so we could do pictures.

We just went table to table during dinner.

  • Skip the receiving line and do table visits instead.

  • Yeah, we are visiting each table rather than doing a receiving line.  Because of the number of guests, it would probably take an hour for the line.

We did table visits as well. That way the starving guests could get their grub on while we went around and thanked them for coming.
  • We are visiting tables during the reception. A receving line would take too long.

    Great minds think alike! :)
  • Meh, I guess the capitalization made me think of the brand name drug that's advertised.

I'm still amused that the OP thought I was serious or something.

Heh.  I thought you were using a British term and didn't even get the joke at  all.

  • I didn't even think of BC.  There is a club in LA called Plan B.  That's what I thought this was about.

Now, if it said Receiving Line Ortho-Cyclen, I would totally be on board with the joke...

I guess it's a cultural difference.  Perhaps they don't advertise for Plan B in Canada?

  • Actually, drug advertising is pretty rare in Canada.  I see it on American channels, but I don't even think I've seen ads for Plan B on there.

  • I'm in LA and I don't recall seeing Plan B advertised.  BUT I also fast forward commercials on my recorded shows so maybe I missed it.

I did see a a billboard that said, "Go with Plan B" but it was for a nightclub called Plan B.

Yep, we get those ads. In fact, I saw Plan B behind the cashier at the pharmacy the other day.

Huh.  Maybe I just tune it out?  Weird.

  • Not as many of them, and of course, probably 85% of the TV I watch is American...but I've seen a few, and it's definitely at the WalMart pharmacy.

I actually just added it to my siggy because I actually AM on the Infertility board on the bump and they like you to have all the info there about what you've been through so far so they don't have to ask you the same questions every time you post.  Sucks it has to be the same siggy on all three boards though, since I post on all of them.  But thanks for telling me I'm insane!

Sigs aren't unique to the board, so whatever you do on TB or TK transfers over.

Also, her sig is not any bigger than one with a ticker under the pic.
  • Honestly, I really hate that sig because it's got a lot of TMI in it so maybe I'll make a clicky link or something with the same info.

Yes, that's all I was referencing.  Not calling you insane, and nothing about the pic or its size.  It's a nice picture.
  • I never even read text in people's sigs.  But I'm not a huge bio lurker so maybe I'm special.

  • I just wanted to make it clear that I have to use the same siggy on both sites so it sucks.  No harm, no foul.
