NWR: Ordering Online - WWYD?

So, I think I'm just being stingy, but I can't find a coupon code for Pottery Barn and I want something from the website.  It's $21 to ship.

Part of me is saying "Suck it up, this is EXACTLY what you've been looking for, don't be stupid about the $21."

The other part of me is saying "$21?!?!? WTF??? I can buy A LOT with $21"

WWYD? Or does anyone have a coupon code collecting dust somewhere?

[QUOTE]Sorry, i only posted the pictures because I wasn't sure if you were interested. <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Ennospace-WSV608-220-CHERRY-Shelf-Cherry/dp/B003B0OX18/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1270574251&sr=8-11" rel="nofollow">http://www.amazon.com/Ennospace-WSV608-220-CHERRY-Shelf-Cherry/dp/B003B0OX18/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1270574251&sr=8-11</a> I'm not sure if you like to DIY stuff or not, but keep in mind that anything not in the color you want can be painted.  I just used spray primer and spray paint this weekend to paint a bunch of black frames brown and they look awesome.

That one is now on the consideration list.

I just worry about painting things with a smooth finish cause I feel like they're more prone to chipping.  No?

Not if you use spray paint and then spray or wipe-on poly to finish it.

But I think those are worth the money if you really don't have any where else to keep your wine and glasses, I know for me, I just like to have options besides the standard PB because PB can be overpriced.  If the PB set is really the one you want though, and you have the money for it, I would get it and pay the $21 shipping.

  • I just thought of this.  I have a coupon at home that I'm pretty sure hasn't expired yet, but I don't know if it has an online code on it -- it might be in-store only because I got it when we moved to our new place.  And I think it's only 10% off the purchase.  I can check tonight if you want, though.

Hm, I have to re-paint a dresser.  I want to do it in a red/coral color, but the walls in that room are green so I don't want the Christmas effect.

It's a mustard yellow now and it just doesn't hit my spot.  I don't want to strip it, so I wanted to prime and paint, but am afraid of chipping.

But yeah, I'm going to talk to Robert and see which one he likes for the wine glass holders.  Our condo has crappy cabinet space.
  • Here, read this:

Now, she used regular primer.  For smaller jobs like picture frames, a spray primer and spray paint are super easy.  I don't know how big your dresser is, but that would probably determine whether you wanted regular primer and paint, or spray.  Either way, as long as you finish it with a coat or two of poly, you'll be good to go.
