mmmmm dinner

Whats for dinner? Im too lazy to get up and cook so im sure hearing about everyones dinner will make me hungry enough to get off my butt.

Re: mmmmm dinner

  • Beef stew. Because I was lazy so I just chucked it all in the crock pot this morning and let it...well, stew. Now that it's all gorgeous out, I'm totally not feeling like stew, so there will be barbecue tomorrow to make up for it.

  • Air. The brags post from earlier inspired me to go running and join sparkpeople, but I ate fast food earlier so I'm feeling really crappy about my health choices :(  In real life I'll probably have a sandwich and a banana. That doesnt' sound nearly filling enough but H is at work and I hate cooking for myself.

  • We're having tilapia as well....bought already breaded and made though since we're still in lazy "I can't believe we're back" mode.  Having some fries with it, and of course beer
  • Chinese food!!! We tried a new place tonight--one that's closer than the one we normally go to. It's not nearly as good, but it saved a 20minute drive, so I'll just shut up and eat my food, and be content.

Just dont have carbs with dinner, thats what I do when I eat crap in the day. I am on my own tonight too and I just remembered about the single chickenbreast I put in the freezer (i normally freeze in 2's but there was an odd breast out) so I am making something small for myself.
  • Chicken cordon bleu. I'm flattening the chicken breasts and stuffing it with swiss and ham, rolling it all up,  and then covering it with bread crumbs and baking it. Haven't decided on a veggie yet. Probably steamed edamame, asparagus, and snap beans.

Well thanks for the compliment! People make cooking good stuff out to be a lot harder than it is. Also, if I'm remembering right, my mad chef skills aren't actually mad chef skills in comparison to Alix (didn't she do culinary school, or did I make that up?) and I think Anna may have too. But thank you.

  • Tim made me a grilled cheese and pepperoni on rye because I had a blah day. It was yum, but it totally ruined all of the other healthy things I ate today.
  • Grilled cheese and pepperoni sound divine. Lucky for me, I don't have the right kind of bread or pepperoni to make it.
