I'm hoping that the ladies who have changed their last name can help me out with this. I need to change my name with the social security agency. If you go in person, do they actually collect your marriage license or do they look at it there and return it the same day? I'm confused as to whether I need to get certified copies to hand in. I tried calling and I got an automatic message and no option to speak to a live person.
