I'm up.  Excited because one of my former co-workers is coming back to work (on a VERY part-time basis, but still!) today.  We get along fantastically and I really miss her, so today's going to be great, having her back.

It's our grandfathers middle name.  His middle name will be our dad's middle name, Eugene.  But seriously, I'm concerned that she was smoking during the pregnancy.  He was just over 4lbs, and he was supposed to be full term.  She had to have a c-section because of his heart rate dropping during contractions. *sigh*  I really, REALLY hope she wasn't smoking and that it was a mistake on the doctor's parts.

Morning ladies!  Its lunchtime here and I am super excited b/c we fly to NC this Saturday for our wedding next week   Cannot wait to see our family and friends, we miss them muchos - and looking forward to some warm weather.

Aw man, I hope that isn't the case.  I don't understand why people can't give up smoking for the health of their baby.  This is the one that lives with the IL's?  I hope he's ok and can thrive with some doctor care and gain some weight quick.

This is pretty typical. No, don't quit them. Just reduce your application to once a day if it is a 2x a day thing or every other day. You will still see results.

That's so sad. I had to briefly intern at WIC during my undergrad, and one requirement of the RD is to ask if the mother smokes. Well one lady came in, about 8 months pregnant, and she said that she smoked 1-2 packs/day during her whole pregnany. She made me mad.

Cfas, try using the teeth whitening less often, skip a day or two in between treatments, that should give your teeth enough time to stop hurting.

Morning!  I've been working at home since 6 this morning.  I'm on the clock until 4:30.  H gets back from his work trip around dinner time and then he'll be home for a whole week, hallelujah!  We've got a fun weekend planned with date night on Friday, concert on Saturday night, and watching the Bengals game with some friends at a bar on Sunday.

Morning Auntie Snippy!

H is trying to tell me that geckos can't crawl up linens.  I think he's lying to me.

And he handed me a pile of laundry that was in a box (?).  Tells me the white pleated shirt is just rag material and he holds it up.  Darling, that's a tux shirt.  "yep, I got married in it".  As I was about to scream about having a rental shirt for a year, it dawned on me that he didn't wear a tux for our wedding.  Yep, he still had the shirt from his first wedding, 15 years ago.
This weekends project is go through the clothing and make sure they are at least from this decade.

I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it wasn't her.  How can you smoke while pregnant and with a father who is going to die any day from smoking?  Insanity.

Anyway, we'll see what happens from here out.  Hopefully it's just because of all the problems she's had and not because she's a dumbass.  Oh, and yes, this is the sis who lives with IL's. 

Oh!  And other than being an aunt, I'm going to put an ad up as a dog walker today as well.  Lady needs some monay.

cfas- What kind of whitener do you use?  I had to stop using the strips bc it made my teeth so sensitive (and I use a sensitive type toothpaste), but now I use the rembrandt 2 hr whitening kit.  You use a tray with it instead of the strips, but you can choose the amount you put on.  It's worked great on my teeth, and you can space out the whitening over a week or whatever so your don't have as much, or hopefully any, sensitivity.

Good morning! I'm in an excellent mood this morning. The house is CLEAN! Friends are coming over tonight and I"m making my favorite dinner (burritos) and we're watching last season finale of Grey's and tonight is the premier! Hopefully work will fly by!

Oh, my recruiter called me in a tizzy yesterday, asking for my updated resume. She has someone looking for a Communications Coordinator with a 'great' salary. Hoping I hear something about an interview today. Probably just wishful thinking, but I have a really good feeling about this!

I've got a pretty packed day today--it's our first career fair of the year and I have a lunch date with a scientist from one of the national labs where I'd like to work. The only thing I'm bummed about: I splurged on a new suit for the occasion, but it's too hot to wear it. I just put on the shirt and skirt and I was dying. So it'll have to wait for another time, and I dug something out of the back of my closet instead. Meh.

Yeah, they just don't have the money, nor the type of work I want. All they could offer me (if they had the money) is secretary work. I'm sorry, but I didn't go to school 4 years and work my ass off to be a secretary for the long haul. I have no problem paying my dues, but I expect them to pay off.
