Not really. Grief/depression in terms of diagnosis in 6 months for a major loss. That's pretty standard.

Once you cross that threshold, you're looking at a mental health diagnosis, even if it doesn't make sense, the mental health gurus at this point give you 6 months to grieve in a way that it impacts your life. After six months, if you can't function, then there is something more that needs to be done.

I have a little Steelers sticker in the back window (big surprise).  I used to have a PS alumni decal but it burnt out (the car is 10 years old) and I just haven't put the replacement one up yet.

He's kind of having an early mid-life crisis.  He traded in the "family car" he bought for a limited edition Mustang Bullitt.  He doesn't seem to tell me the whole truth about everything that's going on, though, so it's hard to be 100% sympathetic.  He says he wants to try to get custody, but doesn't seem to be acting like it.

TR you did not update us on the latest gossip regarding P. I think when I was in Charleston they were still at the separated stage. I'm guessing (hoping) she took her other kids with her.

Stick figure decals are just a way to tell the world that you have young children and/or pets in your house.

I mean, if you're comfortable with that, get on it. But when I went through certification to treat sexual offenders/high risk criminal offenders, they noted that car decals were an indicator for how to target clients and/or pets for emotional blackmail.

Anyway, I wouldn't have them.

Chrissy, they probably learned their lesson with the Kerry stickers. I always get annoyed when I see people with multiple stickers for the same candidate. One car around here has at least 8 Obama stickers from the last election. It's a bit ridiculous.

Fishy that's why I don't like them. Same with the "My Son/Daughter is an honor roll student at so and so middle school." Not only have you advertised you have a child, they world knows where they go to school.

I wouldn't put any political stickers on my vehicle.  I find the stick families funny but wouldn't put those on my car either.  We collect stickers/badges from places we've hiked but we have them stuck on the travel box that we only use when going on vacation.  I think most stickers unless they're removeable decrease the value of your car.

so a friend of ours died last summer.  and recently his FB changed from "In a relationship" to "It's complicated"

uh.... wha?  I mean.  yes, it is complicated to have a relationship with a dead person.  but...  something odd to see on your news feed.

I have a friend who was killed in NY just about 3 years ago. His FB page is still open by his mom. It always throws me through a loop to see people posting on it. I haven't once. IMO posting things like that is just AWing your grief. I guess some people feel it's necessary, but it's not for me.
