Freestyle Friday Festival (my version of FFF)

Flame, Love, Gripe, Vent..........lets do it!

I just want to send love to MK for being a weight loss super star, keep it up girl, you're doing amazing!

I want to flame anyone who thinks a mom can't decide when it's best for her to leave the house with a baby, let that be a personal choice, mmmkay?

I want to vent about this headache that seems to be lingering.  I hope it isn't around all weekend.

  • I want to gripe about something being in my eye for the past hour. It is so annoying.

Definitely some kick a$$ heels.  I think heaven needs stilettos.
  • I want to applaud Mel for winning the internet on Wednesday. I'm sad I had to miss the I Judge thread, but it made for a great read later.

I want to thank everyone for staying pretty level-headed in the Unpop Op thread when things got nasty, and I'm sorry that you had to put up with that BS from SapphireBeotch, Bay. I regret that I didn't ban her sooner, but I had no idea it was going that far.

I love that we're doing a book club now. I feel like it's been a long time coming.

Do you think in heaven we will be able to wear stilettos and they magically wont hurt our feet? Because that sounds like my kind of place.
  • You think the rapture might happen before I have to get up at the crack of ass tomorrow for work?  Guess I shouldn't be making fun because many people DO believe.
  • Love: To MK, Birdie, Bubbalub, Kiki, and anyone else who was in the UO thread last night and sent me love after I got pissed off by that stupid troll.  Also to Mica and Opal for banning said stupid troll.

I'd flame the troll but that's just redundant, and she's (it's?) been banned anway.

Vent: I am so sick of this stupid cold, of having puffy inflamed sinuses, and of not being able to speak properly because I'm stuffed up.  I keep hoping that I'm going to wake up and it'll be over.  Bah.

<div>You haven't read it? It was the one that involved women not leaving the house while bleeding/before baby's first checkup. I figured you'd read it. Well, you should. Mel was on fire.</div>

I agree Mrs. Stacks ~ and I certainly do hope that heaven makes heels less painful - they don't even have to be pain-free. I can live with less pain.

Are we also confessing? Because I'm going to go ahead and confess that:

    1. I don't really know what the Rapture is, and how to behave accordingly.

    2. I want to slap the shiiiiiitttt out of a girl I work with (and feel like it could actually happen)

    3. I've been enjoying posting more lately (both here and SB) and hearing (seeing) alot of interesting opinions about different things.

I want to flame SW for the "mommas stay in the house" comment, and then the back pedaling that ensued. From one mother to another, just because you weren't able/comfortable with it, doesn't make it gospel to the rest. And for all the TMI lovers, I stopped bleeding after two weeks, so we went to the store to get the things we needed and to our relatives, gasp!

I also flame chick from "The Art of Making a Baby". BSC, that one. I am secretly (well, not so secretly since it's on here) hoping that her child ends up flaming gay with a insatiable desire for red meat and beer, along with a "just average" intelligence.

And the "Rapture" folk, don't get me started. I am seriously putting off buying gas, just in case, since I know my non-Jesus butt will be here with the other heathens.

And work, please stop sucking so much. It's Friday, I want to go home and grill and drink my Moscato.

  • I lied - I posted all up in that thread.  lol.  I just went back and looked in it.
  • I would like to gripe about the fact that I did Zumba last night, hurt my butt cheek, and then ate three pieces of pizza when I went home.  I am so bad at this weight loss business.

  • I am really really grateful to NotColloquial with her help on my blog. She didn't have to do that, and it was a huge help to me. I am especially grateful since I think in her first post I suspected her of being a troll, for which I now apologize.
  • I love the fact that the peony bushes here have big ol' buds on them. I can't wait until they bloom. They're all over my drive home. Lilac bushes grow like weeds here, and they smell so nice, but I think it's one of the many things I'm allergic to.

I also love the fact that my husband who got home from his trip late Wednesday night, did a lot of chores around the house, instead of bumming around. He vacuumed, did laundry, mowed the backyard and edged it, and sprayed down the weeds. And let me come home and get in bed for a long nap. Plus, he got my car all cleaned out, not just on the inside (he took it on his trip), but went and washed it, as well.

And to be really sappy, last night, we were talking about something, and he said, "I'm happy we finally found each other, babe. I love you."

I read that whole Sapphire Bride stuff in the Unpop Ops thread yesterday, and OMG. I'm so glad I wasn't on last night. Thanks for getting rid of her, mods. Nobody has to "feel" true depression to empathize with others and realize it is a true chemical imbalance and disease, and that anti-anxiety medications don't give you a high. If she wants that, go get frigging REAL sudafed. I think she's confusing anxiety meds with the older stimulant ADD meds.

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • I didn't read the Unpop Opinions thread... I may have to now, since that Sapphire beyotch was the one in the WP thread saying how ridiculous I was for wanting to spend money treating my BM's to hair/makeup when I said I wouldn't buy a $150+ BM dress for someone else's wedding (when the bride didn't ask the budget first).

I'm super nervous about the new house passing the inspection on Tuesday... If it passes, it's ours. If it doesn't? Well.... then back to square one :(
  • I want to gripe, vent, and basically whine about my leg.

I fell off my bike, slid across the cement and scraped off a LOT of skin.  It hurts.  My calf and ankle are swollen.  I'm covered in neosporin and wrapped from knee to ankle.

I'm tired of not being able to move, sleep with covers, or get near my husband.  All he hears is "Don't touch my leg!!!"  Boo.
  • All I can say is I'm glad I missed the tail end of the UO thread.  Wow.

I'm excited because I'm having a girls' day out tomorrow.  Lunch at Panera and Bridemaids matinee!

  • I'm gonna send some love out to maternity pants. Just got my first pair yesterday and these things ARE AMAZING.

I might wear them forever.  Fvck buttons and zippers!

But for real- this board, lately, I just love.  It's becoming a really awesome community- I just see so much support for everyone and it makes me happy.

  • OWWWW, Joy. Been there. Not that extensive of road rash, but Jeez - it makes everything tight and stiff and achy. When it gets to where it's just areas, those blister waterproof bandages are awesome.

I flame all of the theists who are mocking the Rapture as if their own heartfelt beliefs aren't equally as fantastic. If I were to start making fun of the Catholics on the board for believing in transubstantiation ("HAHA ZOMBIE JESUS CRACKERS!!!111!!eleventyone!"), then I'm pretty sure I would be flamed for religious intolerance.

I honestly don't understand the double standard. Mica tried to justify it when I mentioned it in passing in another thread, but all I got from her response was "It's okay because my beliefs are true."  Yeah.  Says who?  I'm fairly confident that my (lack of) beliefs are true too, but I still can't run around making fun of everyone who does believe in a god or gods.

FTR, I don't care if people mock the Rapture. But I think if some religion is fair game, all religion should be fair game. It's the hypocrisy of mocking one set of beliefs while holding your own to be sacrosanct that aggravates me.

Yay! I just got a new keyboard and it makes me sooo happy! My old one sucked big time. It's always the simple things in life, right?

Also, I too am very happy about the book club. I've really enjoyed E this week, I feel like we had some interesting threads.

  • I flame this week for being SO GODAWFUL LONG.  I also flame time for not going faster - 9 days is too long to wait for my Mexico trip.  TOO LONG.

If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on the cat. image

  • I'd like to vent about my thinning hair. I think I'm going bald. I can't really wear it down, and I have a hard time covering up bald spots when I pull it back. I'm starting to freak out.
  • It's a crossboard flame but I flame katelyn26 for her idiocy on the Sb intro post last night. I read this morning and holy crap.

I would agree with this to a certain extent.  I don't question another Christian's belief in the Rapture, but I do have a major problem with this dude predicting it.  I think that's more blasphemous than anything else.
