Happy...err...Monday?

Good morning ladies! How was everyone's weekend?

My weekend went by way too fast and I'm dreading heading into work this week. Half of my office got canned last week, so the work has been divided up amongst the rest of us, and I'm sinking fast. That, and it's raining---and NC drivers are awful enough, but, add rain, and they really suck!

Weekend was eh.  I entered all our info into Quicken and now I'm trying to "train" H into a new way of life. 
"yes dear, I'm sure they gave you a receipt for that $200 or so purchase.  Where did it go?" 
"I'm telling you, they didn't give me one..."

This is going to be a long hill to climb.

I am actually in a really good mood, got a lot done this weekend, but also got to relax as well.

Rach -  I have to agree with you on those NC drivers. They are like that here in GA, too. But I think going through Charlotte is the worst when we drive back to OH.

Good morning!

My weekend went by WAY too fast.  My bridal shower in CT was on Saturday, and although I was nervous (almost nobody knew each other), everyone, especially me, had SO much fun!  My FMIL met my bridesmaids for the first time and she just loves them, she kept telling me so.  I feel really good about it.  Also, FI and I got completely spoiled at our shower.  It was really great.

And yesterday, I was beat from not sleeping well all weekend, so I spent Sunday being very lazy.  It was a good weekend.  But now it's a rainy Monday.  Blech.

Good Morning!  I'm still not used to this working on Monday schedule.  My weekends have been feeling extremely too short!  Apparently it's the day of the semi here b/c they are in accidents all over town and I had to take a creative way into work today.

aMrs---I think it's a guy thing. In fact, it has to be. Or else there's a long standing, world wide tradition of not giving men receipts ever. 

Missy--no matter how long we're here, I never seem to be surprised by someone's driving stupidity....I'm afraid of getting in an accident every.single.day. And I've never been afraid to drive before; I grew up in the snow belt! 

I was starting to think I'd have to leave for work before anyone came in here!

Agree 200%. It is just nuts the way these people drive in the South. H and I thought it was just GA, but we were wrong after we have made numerous trips back to central Ohio. They totally ignore the laws and my husband says he thinks they all think they are in Nascar, hence the reason why they drive like idiots.

Oh heck you guys.  H was in the states and driving in the DC area.  When we got back to OZ and people asked him what it was like driving over there, his answer was "well for starters, the rules and speed limits are really just suggestions."

Yeah, every time we have been driving in the South, it's been full of stupid drivers. 

What happened to cause half your office to get canned??  That's crazy.

I am... in a mood today.  We'll see how things turn out.

Rach - my cousin said driving in NC is so bad because "you have the yankees who want to get everywhere yesterday, plus the southerners who've never driven on a 4-lane highway."

I'm not entirely awake yet.

One random thing that has been driving me nuts lately? 

H has a pretty heavy accent.  I've never had a problem understanding him and I always thought it was fairly undiluted.  I guess working with the Brits and South Africans diluted his accent a touch beacause, since we've been back, his accent has gotten so thick, I can barely understand him.  He has to be looking directly at me and only about 3 feet away in order for me to catch even half of what he says.

Monday, my nemesis. We meet again.

I have busy week. This is the last week of ladies night golf, which is tomorrow. That just means summer is ending for real and snow is right around the corner. BOOOOO. And my last golf tournament of the season is next weekend.

I think summer passed us by a couple of weeks ago, but the leaves are just starting to turn.  I'm strangely excited by this.  The leaves in Modena didn't change- they died and fell off.

It's my first day back to work after our honeymoon. Neither of us is in the mood to go back to work. H's coworkers are horrible, lazy SOBs and it's not in a safe area.

We are beginning to really consider moving to Florida to be closer to my extended family there (Grandmother, aunt, cousins). Baltimore is really starting to lose what little appeal it has.

It kind of feels weird not planning a wedding anymore. I guess I can plan a dinner party now or something, lol.

Sorry Snippy, but man I understand.  I finally broke into one of my cherished bottles of Mt Gay.  H came home, saw that and just kept walking through.

I don't even like to open my email anymore.  All it is is FB update notifications and rejection letters.
