Received Gifts

We are starting to get gifts in the mail and our wedding is in 29 days. What is protocol when you get checks. Do you cash them or wait until the wedding day. I feel like it would be rude to cash them, but at the same time budgeting their check books might be a little annoying for a month. what do you think?

You cash them and send the TY right away but do not use the cash until after the wedding.

Ditto PPs. That way the giver's accounting isn't screwed up in any way.

Send a TY note and deposit a day or two after you send the TY note.  Don't spend until you're married.

Deposit them right away.  The gifters will appreciate it.
