My brother and his fiancee are having a hell of a time.
First, they are having a hard time finding a ceremony location. They are trying to find parishes who will take them without being parishioners (they are both moving to one area from more than an hour away in opposite directions so they are trying to centrally locate where family lives and they will be llving). The few places who will consider taking them will not do ceremonies later than 3pm (most prefer 2 or 2:30).
But then every place they've talked to for a reception (in their budget) won't start cocktail hour before 6pm (some do have a bar area for people to linger prior). I don't know if its becuase they do afternoon events as well or what.
It seems like the timelines everywhere are pretty stringent.
Does anyone have recommendation for the gap when it is seemingly unavoidable?
