Um, wtf?

So I just found out T's sister sent him the following text message:
"so is amanda super jealous or something? She hasnt said a word to me about being engaged? Did you see email pics of my amazing ring"

Um, ok...Can I just remind you that when T and I got engaged you said nothing other than whining that I didn't need another ring?
Maybe I'm overreacting but this really annoyed me.

I'm lost. When was T's sister's engagement and you and T haven't gotten engaged again, right?
• Options
Well, did you at least congratulate her?
• Options
Oh, sorry. Couple years back T and I were engaged.

Very much. How could anyone have missed the picture what with the text, email, fb updates (like 5). Even a family member told me today it seems ridiculous.

People like that drive me crazy. Maybe you should just overly indulge her and send her texts, cards and FB messages about how happy you are. That would annoy her.

Quite the oppisite. She would love it.

Don't rush to congratulate her now, she'll know you saw the text---just leave her be. I cannot believe someone gets mad over not being congratulated. That's crap.

Rach, I have no plans of rushing to do so now, it would just give her what she wants. I'm passive like that. I'll wait until I see in her person just as I have planned on doing.

Well I'm so glad to hear that she has such an amazing ring. I'm sure it goes great with her amazing personality.

Hmm, her text just seemed juvenile (among other things) and I would have expected her to be much younger than that. :/ Maybe the phrasing in the text just read young.

Disclaimer: Being a younger bride =/= being juvenile, immature, etc., obviously.

Haven't you said that she wasn't exactly an awesome person before though?
• Options
Yea, she can be childish.
Um, shes definitely not my favorite person. Our personalities do not go at. all.

Hahaha T did tell me he likes the ring I want more than hers. The funny thing is that I always have thought she would do that at my wedding someday. I am fully prepared for her to announce something huge (at this point a baby) at my wedding.

Care to share a picture? It might help to get your mind off T's lame sister.

Hey, also, I listen to Vampire weekend and Matt and Kim every morning. I love them

Is that a Tiffany Legacy ring? It's beautiful!

Also, so glad that you're liking Vampire Weekend -- they have a cool, different sound. Just fun, "happy" music. And Matt & Kim too -- I'm glad you liked them both. :) Fair warning though, next time I need music, I'm coming to you!

Well, I suppose that's better than her asking you to be her BM. You should tell her you're knocked up and your due date is her wedding day. Then she'd never ask you for fear of you stealing her thunder, even more than you are by not gushing over her fuckingring.

Hahahahaha this would be amazing buuut the other sister just had a miscarriage, it would be too cruel.

Teresa- Its from a website called diamondideals. Oh yea, you're more than welcome to come to me for music next time. We clearly have similiar taste. Vampire weekend makes me so happy on my way to hell (work)

Beatles- its ok, I cant expect you to remember every detail of my life, even I cant do that.
The sister that miscarried I love. Her mother in law emailed me today though and said shes worried that when we all go to SF to see her (sweet sister) in two weeks that the wedding hullabullo will be a bit much for her.
• Options
Oh sad roxy. Hopefully the engaged sister will be self-aware enough to consider how the sweet sister is feeling. Wedding stuff can be overwhelming and annoying for anyone, let alone someone who has just been through something like that.

I'm sorry Roxy; I can't imagine what his (kind) sister is going through. Here's hoping that his (not-so-kind) sister isn't overwhelming.

So okay, stick to the initial plan: get engaged at her wedding. In the middle of the vows, or the middle of their first dance -- just started screaming. That said, please take pictures and/or video. :)
