I HATE THAT!  Mine does that all the time too.  I've found it <em>usually </em>doesn't happen if you only FF on the 3rd speed instead of the 4th.

I know I can't stand it!!! I've seriously almost thrown the remote at my tv before because I've gotten so mad. FI found that you have to exit out of the show completely and even shut down the box sometimes to get it to stop jumping because once it does it once, it'll keep doing it over and over again. You'd think if Tivo can make a decent product, so can these cable companies!!

The Insight boxes from KY are the same as some of the Comcast boxes up here.  I say some, because apparently our installer dude brought ones for the next town over originally.  So, we had "Insight" boxes again for a few days, but with Comcast logos.  And now we have different ones.
